Toyota shut down 9 factories

After the shortage of supply of microchips that affects many car manufacturers, it was an earthquake in Japan last week that forced Toyota to shut down 9 of its factories and 14 production lines for a week.

The production lines of the Prius, the CHR and vehicles intended for the American market are affected but delivery times should not be affected.
