Emirati entrepreneur Hasna Al-Mutawa has managed to develop her "Emirates Doctors" project, which is a platform that includes more than 500 doctors, in various specialties from various emirates of the country, noting that she has succeeded in obtaining funding for her project from the Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development. Al-Mutawa told Emirates Today that it has expanded outside the UAE, as it has set up the Rosetta project in Egypt, while it is preparing for the second expansion in Iraq, by setting up a project on “telemedicine”, through cooperation with the United Nations.

In detail, the entrepreneur, Hasna Al-Mutawa, said that after her graduation from the Higher College of Technology in Abu Dhabi, majoring in health management, she worked in the medical sector in a British company specializing in oil and gas, where she was able, through the company's branches in the Emirates, Kuwait, Oman and Iraq, to ​​provide medical services to the needy.

She added that she obtained a "diploma in Marketing" from the University of "Liverpool" in Britain, and decided to benefit from her experience in the fields of health and marketing together by launching a platform, in late 2018, that includes doctors in various specialties to facilitate patients in the name of "Emirates Doctors", noting that This platform gradually evolved to include more than 500 doctors, distributed over the various emirates of the country.

Al-Mutawa added that she subsequently submitted an application to obtain a license to provide health care services from a distance, or what is known as "telemedicine", but this matter was new, and it did not yet exist in Abu Dhabi, but with the emergence of the Corona virus and its repercussions. The door has been opened to grant her this new license to start working directly, especially in light of the desire of many patients not to go to hospitals, and to obtain medical services directly from home.

Telemedicine

Al-Mutawa explained that "telemedicine" is not just phone calls or sessions via the Internet, as some believe, but rather integrated programs that include all the health consultations the patient needs through specialized doctors, and an integrated diet provided by nutritionists, as well as an integrated system that encourages On the exercise of sports, pointing out that it focuses in the program of "remote medicine" on people with chronic diseases, who need continuous and urgent health care and advice around the clock.

She stated that it is currently, in agreement with a number of insurance companies, in order to cooperate in the fields of launching awareness programs for chronic diseases, such as diabetes, pointing out that there are no previous projects that focus on serving people with chronic diseases.

«Mind Port»

Al-Mutawa stated that it also launched the "Mind Port" or "Port of Minds" platform to address the problems of psychiatry and mental health, especially in light of the increase in health and psychological problems as a result of the repercussions of the Corona virus, in addition to providing family counseling to help families overcome the problems associated with marriage. Before reaching the divorce stage, noting that the platform includes more than 160 licensed psychological counselors in the UAE.

She pointed out that the platform also includes multiple paths and programs to support the mental health of patients, through what is known as "life coaches and career coaches", and relying on sports and modern trends to raise morale, such as: "yoga", and meditation tracks to support the culture of satisfaction with Soul and life, especially under these circumstances.

Al-Mutawa stated that her "Emirates Doctors" project has created a new character, called "Virtual Doctor", to deal with emergency cases.

Al-Mutawa said that successful small projects are characterized by something fundamental, which is commitment and determination to succeed, as it is necessary to try repeatedly, especially since some of these projects do not achieve success and achieve a simple return at their inception, but many of them face stumbling and failure times and times, before reaching success. External expansion

Al-Mutawa stated that it had expanded its project outside the Emirates, as it established the "Rosetta" project in Egypt, which brings together doctors from various specialties, as well as provides home treatments that include performing some types of x-rays in homes.

It indicated that it is currently preparing for the second expansion outside the Emirates, by working in Iraq on a project related to "telemedicine and mental health", in cooperation with the United Nations.
