Nissan Qashqai -

DR

After a long campaign of teasings, Nissan has finally revealed the 3rd generation of its Qashqai.

Longer (35 mm), wider (32 mm) and higher (25 mm) than the previous generation, it is however 60 kg lighter thanks to the use of aluminum panels.

This more imposing format is very beneficial for the rear passengers who have more legroom, and for the boot which gains 50 liters of capacity.

As for the mechanics, the Qashqai skips the diesel and offers a 1.3 turbo petrol of 136 or 156 hp with light hybridization, which mainly helps the car in low revs.

Note that the most powerful version of this engine is only available in 4-wheel drive.

Much more astonishing is the hybrid version called e-Power equipped with a thermal engine whose only mission is to act as a generator, the car being driven by the only electric thruster with a power of 190 hp.

It has the “One Pedal” function and can be driven without touching the brake thanks to the electric “engine brake”.

As for driving aids, it is downright Byzantium with the ProPilot system which evolves for more autonomy according to the map data and the external environment.

It is also possible to create a WIFI "hub" or send addresses to the car via a speaker connected to Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant ...
