The Federal Tax Service (FTS) intends to combine the service "Taxpayer's Personal Account" with the data of online cash registers.

As a result, Russians will be able to apply online for a tax deduction for purchases paid with bank cards.

"It is planned to combine a personal account with the data of online cash registers, which will allow users to see information about their purchases in tax offices and declare deductions literally by pressing one button," the press service of the Federal Tax Service quotes the head of the department Daniil Yegorov.

According to him, the technology for the simplified receipt of investment and property deductions will be ready for launch as early as March 2021.

The innovation will have to reduce the time for refund to one and a half months.

Recall that the deduction allows you to reduce the tax payment or return the personal income tax (PIT) already paid during the year, for example, in connection with the purchase of an apartment, medical treatment or training costs.

Tax residents of a country with income taxed at a rate of 13% can apply for the deduction.

To date, to register a deduction, you must submit a tax return in the form of 3-NDFL with supporting documents.

Meanwhile, at the end of January, the State Duma approved in the first reading a draft law on simplifying the procedure.

In the event of the final adoption of amendments to the Tax Code, after a citizen submits an application through his personal account, tax authorities will be able to check the data themselves in the automated information system.

At the same time, Russians no longer have to fill out a declaration and attach documents.

Moreover, according to Daniil Egorov, so-called short scripts have already appeared in the FL Taxes mobile application, which allow you to fill out the 3-NDFL form and send an application for a tax deduction “in just three clicks”.

As the head of the Federal Tax Service emphasized, 2020 showed that the trend for the development of online services was more than in demand.

Simplification of the procedure for obtaining a tax deduction will significantly save time and make the process more convenient for most citizens.

This point of view in a conversation with RT was expressed by Alexey Korenev, an analyst at FINAM Group.

“At the moment, to submit all the necessary documents, you need to be personally present at the tax office or the MFC and spend at least one working day on the procedure.

At the same time, there is a risk that the first time a person will not collect the entire package of documents, and he will have to go to the institution again.

This leads to additional costs, since the recipient in this case needs to take time off from work, take a day off or a day at his own expense, ”the expert noted.

According to him, the opportunity to apply remotely will be especially in demand now, when many Russians still work remotely.

At the same time, the number of citizens who will draw up tax deductions can significantly increase, says Pavel Sigal, first vice president of the all-Russian public organization of small and medium-sized businesses "Support of Russia".

“In addition, the financial literacy of the population will also increase.

Now, not all taxpayers know how to properly draw up a deduction, or they are not ready to draw up a package of documents for it.

Digital services will simplify data collection.

All this is a natural continuation of the digital transformation process in the country, "Sigal added in an interview with RT.

As the head of the analytical department of AMarkets Artyom Deev suggested in an interview with RT, as a result of the merger of the Taxpayer's Personal Account service with the data of online cash registers, users will automatically receive information about the required deduction.

Thus, the procedure will become clearer and more transparent, the specialist is sure.

“The level of digitalization of calculating taxes, deductions, and receiving declarations in Russia is significantly ahead of the work of the tax authorities in the United States and European countries.

The emergence of a new automatic function for tax deductions is another step in making the interaction between the state and citizens open and comfortable, "Deev said.

At the same time, according to Alexey Korenev, the full-time application form will also remain.

Thus, pensioners or citizens who, for certain reasons, cannot apply for a deduction online, will still be able to use the service at the tax office or the MFC, the expert concluded.
