With Samuel Pemsel things have to happen quickly.

As befits an entrepreneur, his schedule is well-timed and ambitions are high.

"We are cash flow positive and bootstrapping to this day - we will have six-figure sales at the end of the year," he says.

The 17-year-old is the founder of Sharpenmarketing, a kind of agency that aims to mediate between Generation Z and medium-sized companies.

This year Pemsel is doing his Abitur.

"I'm more of a mediocre with a grade point average of 2.5." The priorities are clearly distributed: "I want to get through, but as far as responsibility is concerned, my business simply appeals to me more."

At the age of 15, he obtained his unrestricted legal capacity in court.

The process took eleven months.

Now he is looking forward to coming of age so that he can finally found the GmbH.

So far, Pemsel has only worked with freelance workers.

That should change as soon as Sharpenmarketing is renamed this summer.

The oldest of the seven freelancers is 27 years old.

"Even if I'm the founder, I pay myself the lowest salary by far," says Pemsel.

However, he has a clear idea of who is responsible for what.

It is important to him that the goals are achieved.

Sharpenmarketing advises medium-sized companies.

Either it is about companies wanting to know how to reach Generation Z for vacancies.

Or they wanted to access Pemsel's data pool, for example to conduct surveys or to see how a product is being received.

Pemsel's company also offers seminars to train older generations in what Gen Z values or how to optimize the Internet presence.

According to its own information, Pemsel currently advises 16 companies, including the Bavarian Farmers' Association.

He is currently in advanced talks with a large grocery discounter and a cosmetics company, he says.

“As a young founder, I am lucky to be welcomed with open arms - at least that's how I always feel,” says the 17-year-old.

Instead of emulating any pop idols or influencers, he sees Elon Musk and Waren Buffet as his real role models, says Pemsel.

“My parents gave me a lot of support in founding the company.

Nevertheless, they sometimes ask themselves the question: What is actually going on in him? "

He used to spend a lot of time on the PC and gambled "Minecraft".

However, that was a few years ago.

Celebrating is out of the question for him.

His friends are all entrepreneurs with similar ambitions.

Education is important, but the company is a priority

“I'm not someone who goes drinking.

I just don't need that.

I am asked again and again whether I am not blocking my youth by doing so and foregoing fun.

But to be honest: I have more fun exchanging ideas with entrepreneurs, ”says Pemsel.

He sees the added value in learning from others.

"I don't forbid anything consciously, I just follow my needs."

As soon as he has passed his Abitur, he not only wants to continue with sharpen marketing, but also study on the side.

Preferably at the EBS for Business and Law.

His goal: to find more employees for his company so that he doesn't have to keep an eye on everything himself.

"At the moment, the start-up only works when I'm there."

Pemsel speaks quickly, as if he was always thinking one step ahead.

If he had to describe himself in one word, it would be impatience.

“I can't wait and want to tackle things quickly.

However, I work on myself every day to take a more relaxed approach to some things, ”says the young founder.

But first he wants to improve all the processes in the company.

Only then could he imagine getting business angels and VCs on board.
