Bitcoin jumps to a record high ... the reason is 'Tesla'

The American electric car manufacturer "Tesla" has bought 1.5 billion dollars in bitcoin, announcing that it will accept digital currency as a form of payment in the near future.

The announcement raised the price of Bitcoin to a record high of more than $ 43,000 on the online trading platform BitStamp.

The company, owned by Elon Musk, said in a statement to the US Securities and Exchange Commission today that the decision is in line with the new investment policy, which expects investments in digital assets, as well as gold and other assets that have not yet been traded.

The value of Bitcoin rose to a record high last week, partly due to Musk’s support, after the CEO added the hashtag bitcoin to his Twitter résumé.

It also caused the rise of the lesser known digital currency, the Dogecoin, which was originally launched as a joke.
