The number of self-employed over 55 years of age rebounded notably in 2020: at the end of the fiscal year, the figure

grew by almost 15,000 self-employed

despite the negative context.

The reason, that many workers who exceed that age and are expelled from the labor market do not resign themselves and resort to self-employment, to entrepreneurship.

And they do so with some success, since their experience and knowledge allows them, in many cases, to continue developing their activity until retirement.
