Emirates Airlines develops self-service for contactless travel procedures

Emirates Airlines has developed the self-fulfillment service for check-in and baggage delivery that it launched in September of last year at Dubai International Airport, to become contactless.

The carrier explained in a statement today that passengers will be able to control the 32 self-delivery machines, in addition to the 16 self-check-in kiosks, using their personal portable devices without the need to touch the screens, which provides a safe and comfortable experience for them at the airport.

The kiosks allow customers to complete travel procedures, obtain boarding passes, choose their seats, and deliver bags.

And new services have been added, allowing travelers to pay for additional purchases, such as excess baggage fees, directly through the kiosks.

The booths, located in the economy class passenger travel procedures, are reinforced in "Terminal 3" near "counters" run by "Emirates Airlines" employees.
