Panasonic's financial results for the nine months to December last year saw lower sales and profits due to the impact of the new coronavirus.

A major factor is the decline in sales of systems for enjoying video and music on board as demand for aircraft is declining.

On the 2nd, Panasonic announced the financial results of the entire group for the nine months from April to December last year.

According to this, sales decreased by 15.3% to 4,873.2 billion yen compared to the same period of the previous year, and the final profit decreased by 26.9% to 130.1 billion yen, resulting in a decrease in sales and profits.

Due to the impact of the new Corona, the number of people spending time at home increased, sales of air purifiers and washing machines were strong, and production of parts for automobiles was on a recovery trend.

However, global demand for aircraft has fallen, which has been affected by a decline in sales of projectors used in systems for enjoying video and music on board and at event venues.

The outlook for the final profit for the year has been revised upward to 150 billion yen, an increase of 50 billion yen, assuming that the negative impact of the new Corona will gradually disappear.
