The e-commerce giant Amazon announced on Tuesday that its founder and CEO,
Jeff Bezos, will
leave the latter position in the third quarter of this year, and will be replaced by the head of the cloud computing service Amazon Web Services (AWS), Andy Jassy.
The Seattle firm (Washington state, USA) explained that Bezos, the richest man in the world according to the Forbes list, will become Amazon's CEO.
Amazon posted a doubling of its net profit in the fourth quarter of 2020, to $ 7.2 billion, taking full advantage of the increase in e-commerce and telecommuting since the Covid-19 pandemic.
