Federal Minister of Finance Olaf Scholz wants to quickly clarify the management personnel for the criticized supervisory authority BaFin.

"We are looking to a certain extent worldwide for the best leadership for BaFin - man or woman," said the SPD politician on Tuesday in Berlin.

He did not give a deadline.

After the Wirecard balance sheet scandal, the new management must ensure the necessary departure.

The personal details must be linked to the claim to be able to compete with all supervisory authorities in the world and ideally to be the best.

BaFin is accused of failure in the multi-billion Wirecard scandal.

On Friday, Scholz pulled the ripcord: BaFin President Felix Hufeld and Vice Elisabeth Roegele will leave the authority.
