WORLD:

Minister, after delays in procuring vaccines, the Chancellor has set up a working group to which you are a member to procure vaccine doses.

How far are you?

Peter Altmaier:

The faster the vaccination, the better for the population and the economy.

We therefore work closely with the pharmaceutical industry and other stakeholders.

Essentially, it's about making the most of all opportunities to speed up vaccine production.

We are dealing with a highly complex supply chain that includes a large number of suppliers for the individual components.

Failure of one of them could have serious consequences.
