The press service of the department said that “in 2020 there was a significant decrease in the volume of oil transit compared to the planned level, which affected the amount of revenue received by Gomeltransneft Druzhba OJSC.

“The financial and economic activities of the OJSC last year were also negatively affected by the introduction of an environmental tax and an increase in profit tax for pipeline transport organizations,” the statement says.

At the end of December, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko announced that Belarus had signed a number of agreements on the supply of Russian oil in 2021.
