Cities such as Qingdao, Zhengzhou, Kunming, and Yinchuan have also put local meat reserves in the terminal market at a fair price, which is welcomed by local citizens.

On January 28, the price of pork (lean meat) in supermarket fairs in 36 large and medium-sized cities averaged 30.14 yuan per catty, down 0.7% from a week ago and down 10.5% year-on-year.

As the Spring Festival is approaching, the National Development and Reform Commission will continue to work with relevant departments to organize the release of central frozen pork reserves, and guide major cities in all regions to fully start the release of pork reserves, so as to ensure the pork consumption needs of the masses during the festival.
