JR East has announced the details of the service that gives points that can be used for shopping etc. to those who used the commuter pass while avoiding the peak hours of the morning to alleviate the congestion of trains.

In the case of the Yamanote Line, 15 points will be given if you use it in the early hours of the morning.

This service is a mechanism that gives points to people who have a Suica commuter pass for commuting to work or school if they use the train within an hour before and after the peak of congestion in the morning.

It was held from March 15th to the end of March next year on the JR East metropolitan area, and the details of the service were announced on the 27th.

According to this, in the case of the Yamanote Line, 15 points will be given if the entrance time of the station is around 6:30 am to 7:30 am, and 20 points will be given if the entrance time is around 9 am to 10 am.

In addition, points will be awarded even if you do not have a commuter pass and use the same fare section 10 times or more in a month.

The point is that you can use it as 1 point for 1 yen for shopping and fares.

JR East wants to consider whether this service will alleviate congestion and lead to measures against infectious diseases, and then consider changing the fare depending on the time of day.

These services are already provided by Tokyo Metro on the Tozai Line, and JR West is scheduled to start in April.
