As the prices of eggs and other daily necessities rise, a survey found that this year's New Year's turn will cost up to 18% more than last year.

Korea Price Information, a price research agency, announced today (27th) that as a result of investigating the price of items in the order of the traditional market and the hypermarket, the annual cost for a family of four is estimated at 291,480 won based on the traditional market this year.

It was 34,000 won, an increase of 16.4% from the Lunar New Year last year.

In case of using a hypermarket, it was found that it was 344,200 won to set up in turn, up 18.0% from last year.

Inflation information explained that agricultural product prices have risen overall due to adverse events such as rainy season, typhoon, cold wave and avian influenza.

In particular, fruit products rose by 30-80% compared to the New Year's Day last year, and meat prices were still maintained due to a surge in demand after the emergency disaster subsidy was paid.
