The day after the announcement of a contract for the acquisition by Greece of 18 Rafale, the CEO of Dassault Aviation welcomed Europe 1 with a twist, since it is the first sale to a European country.

“We don't have to buy American to work with other European countries,” Eric Trappier concluded.

France finalized a contract with Greece on Monday for the acquisition of 18 Rafale planes, for a total amount of 2.5 billion euros.

The agreement includes the supply by Paris of 12 second-hand aircraft, taken from the inventory of the French Air Force, six new aircraft from the manufacturer Dassault Aviation, as well as the associated logistical support and armaments.

"This is a historic turning point, welcomed Tuesday on Europe 1 the CEO of the company." This is the first Rafale contract in Europe, "he recalled.
