The tax bonus provides an incentive to reward employees for outstanding work in times of crisis.
Politicians had already decided at the beginning of the crisis that a one-time tax-free special payment of up to 1500 euros per employee could be made.
The SPD points out that this regulation was last extended until the end of June.
“I hope that a number of other employers will make use of the opportunity by then.
Then we will take stock and decide in the light of the development of the crisis how things will continue, ”said Achim Post, deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Bundestag.
According to a survey by WELT AM SONNTAG among the 30 DAX companies, almost half of the companies have so far paid their employees such a bonus.
Employees from Adidas, Beiersdorf, Daimler, Deutsche Börse, Deutsche Post, Deutscher Wohnen, Deutsche Telekom, Heidelberg Cement, Infineon, Merck, Siemens and Vonovia received the bonus.
