Sales of department stores nationwide over the last year were more than 4,220.4 billion yen, the lowest level in 45 years since 1975 in 1975.

Comparing existing stores, excluding stores that closed or opened in the past year, it was 25.7% lower than the previous year, the largest decline since 1965, when statistics remain.
