Longjiang County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang, and Zhalaite Banner, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, are conducting a series of active explorations and practices as pilot projects for effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
Recently, reporters from the Economic Daily visited the two places separately to explore the effective path towards a happy life in the countryside at the southern foot of the Greater Xing'an Mountains.
The southern foot of the Great Xing'an Mountains in the middle of winter is cold and freezing.
During interviews in Longjiang County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province, and Zhalaite Banner, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, reporters from Economic Daily felt that although the weather is cold, there is a country-specific warmth everywhere, and everyone’s lives are getting more and more exciting.
As a pilot project for the effective connection between poverty alleviation and rural revitalization determined by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, here, we can explore where the "happiness code" of rural life comes from.
Featured industries paved the way to wealth
Walking into the Wagyu Modern Breeding Base of Longjiang Yuansheng Food Co., Ltd. located in Longjiang County, Heilongjiang, the soothing music makes people feel happy, and I saw that the Wagyu are enjoying the "premium treatment".
"The wagyu here can listen to music, drink beer, and do massages. We add hops to the feed and install massage brushes next to the cows. By creating a comfortable and relaxing environment for the wagyu, we strive to produce high-quality beef products." Yuansheng Company Vice President Manager Cai Chengda said that in 2012, more than 2,000 purebred Wagyu cattle came from New Zealand and Australia all over the way to take root and breed in Longjiang County.
Longjiang County is a well-known grain production area and a large livestock county.
Nowadays, Longjiang and cattle have become a business card of the animal husbandry industry in Longjiang County, leading the people on the road to prosperity.
"We have researched and formulated the "High-end Beef Cattle Advantage and Characteristic Industrial Cluster Construction Plan" and introduced support policies from 2016." Sun Lijun, deputy secretary of the Longjiang County Party Committee, told reporters that the local government guides enterprises to cooperate with farmers to raise cattle, and farmers buy two cows for every two cows. , The government will give certain subsidies.
In addition, the government also purchases frozen semen from enterprises to help farmers breed calves. After the calves reach the standard for 6 months, they will be purchased by enterprises at a price ranging from 12,000 yuan to 14,000 yuan.
Zhang Laicheng, a 56-year-old villager in Xianfeng Village, Luhe Township, is a well-known cattle-raising expert.
"In 2016, I bought two basic cows and used the free frozen semen to carry out the breeding and improvement of wagyu. By raising cattle, our family got rid of poverty in 2017, and the better the days go by," Zhang Laicheng told reporters happily.
Sun Lijun said that Longjiang County is located in the "golden cattle belt" and is rich in forage resources, and is currently making every effort to promote the development of industrial clusters.
Zhalaite Banner in Inner Mongolia is also vigorously promoting the development of the agricultural industry.
Zhalaite Banner is located in the golden rice belt in the cold region and is the main rice producing area of Xing'an League.
The reporter visited the first state-level modern agricultural industrial park in Inner Mongolia-Zalaid Banner National Modern Agricultural Industrial Park.
Today, it has become a modern agricultural industrial park with in-depth integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries and seamless docking of production and sales, realizing the transformation from traditional agriculture to smart agriculture.
In front of the "Internet of Things +" smart agricultural big data platform in the Zhalaite Banner Agricultural Traceability Video Dispatching Center of the park, the staff told reporters, "The 9 major system platforms of the'Smart Brain' can be used to collect, sort, analyze, and make decisions. , Directly control 100,000 acres of smart farms, and achieve "integrated" remote sensing of air, space and ground.
"The industrial park provides us with soil testing formulas, detailing the nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and organic matter content of each piece of land, and provides fertilization suggestions. Xu Huimin, director of the management committee of the park, told reporters that Zalaite Banner, with rice planting as its leading industry, is vigorously promoting the construction of a national modern agricultural industrial park. The rice planting area has grown to 900,000 mu.
At present, 70% of the farmers in the industrial park have joined the cooperative, the order rate of agricultural products exceeds 80%, and there are 6 companies with a scale of operation area of more than 10,000 mu.
Among them, the Wudaohezi Agricultural and Animal Husbandry Cooperative has realized the entire village’s shareholding and unified operation and management, with an area of 23,000 mu of cultivated land. In 2019, the per capita disposable income of farmers in the community exceeded 35,000 yuan.
Colorful culture has given birth to hometown civilization
