China News Service, Beijing, January 15 (Reporter Li Xiaoyu) In response to the US government’s inclusion of 9 Chinese companies including Xiaomi and other Chinese companies in the "Communist Chinese Army Company List", a spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on the 15th that the US move violated the market economy. The basic rules disrupt the order of the international financial market and urge the US to withdraw this decision.

The US government recently announced that nine Chinese companies, including Xiaomi and COMAC, have been included in the so-called "Communist Chinese Army Company List" and will restrict American investors from trading in these companies' securities.

In response, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said that well-known Chinese companies such as Xiaomi and COMAC are engaged in household electronics and electrical appliances, and civil aircraft-related businesses.

The US alleges that the above-mentioned companies support the modernization of the Chinese military and impose restrictions on them. There is no rule basis or procedural justice, which violates the basic rules of the market economy and disrupts the order of the international financial market.

The spokesperson said that China firmly opposes the wrongful actions of the US to abuse national security and unreasonably suppress Chinese companies, and will firmly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies.

China urges the US to revoke the above decision and create a good environment for the normal economic and trade cooperation between the enterprises of the two countries.
