Following the indictment of former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Yoshikawa at home for bribery, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Nogami expressed his intention to establish a third-party committee to verify whether the policy at that time was affected.

Former Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Yoshikawa was charged with bribery by the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office for receiving a bribe of 5 million yen in cash from a former representative of a major egg production company while he was in office.

In response to this, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Nogami said in an interview with a reporter on the evening of the 15th, "If it is a fact, it is very regrettable."

After that, he said, "I will explain not to be suspicious of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries administration, and promptly start verification by a third party and announce the result." He showed the idea of setting up and verifying.

The third-party committee has a policy of selecting four people, including legal professionals, journalists, and experts, and will verify whether the policy decisions of poultry farming and egg administration at that time were fair.

Minister Nogami said, "We will conduct an investigation, so we must not be prejudiced about the results, but the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries believes that the policy at that time was appropriate."
