For the whole year of 2020, the decline in automobile production and sales has narrowed to less than 2%, the production and sales of new energy vehicles have reached a record high, and the number of scrapped motor vehicles recycled has achieved positive growth.
Specifically:
Automobile production and sales continued to pick up.
In December, the production and sales of new vehicles were 2.84 million and 2.831 million, an increase of 5.7% and 6.4% year-on-year; among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 235,000 and 248,000, both hitting monthly highs, an increase of 55.7% year-on-year. And 49.5%.
For the whole year of 2020, automobile production and sales were 25.225 million and 25.311 million, down 2% and 1.9% year-on-year. The declines were both about 15% less than the first half of 2020. Among them, the production and sales of new energy vehicles were 136.6 10,000 vehicles and 1.367 million vehicles, both hit a record high, up 7.5% and 10.9% year-on-year respectively.
The volume of used car transactions maintained a rebound trend.
In December, the number of second-hand car transactions nationwide was 1.708 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
For the whole year of 2020, the transaction volume of second-hand cars was 14.341 million, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%, and the rate of decline narrowed by 15.7 percentage points from the first half of 2020.
The number of scrapped motor vehicles recovered has accelerated.
In December, 386,000 scrapped motor vehicles were recycled nationwide, an increase of 61.4% year-on-year, and the growth rate hit a new high this year.
The number of vehicles recycled in 2020 will reach 2.398 million vehicles, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year.
