Recently, a series of good news in the crude oil market has stimulated international oil prices to fluctuate.

As of the week of January 1, 2021, US crude oil commercial inventories plummeted by 8 million barrels, the largest drop since August 2020, exceeding market expectations for a 2.1 million barrel decline.

In addition, OPEC and its allies in February and March agreed to maintain the same daily output of crude oil in February and March. Saudi Arabia reduced its daily output by an additional 1 million barrels, boosting market confidence.

Bian Wenjing, a refined oil analyst at Jinlianchuang, said that according to the principle of a price adjustment cycle of "ten working days", the retail price of gasoline and diesel is expected to increase in the range of 160 yuan to 180 yuan/ton.

After the implementation of this domestic oil price increase, it will be the fifth consecutive increase since 24:00 on November 19, 2020.

Zhuo Chuang Information analyst Xu Na told a reporter from Chinanews.com: "At present, the price of 92# gasoline in most areas in China is concentrated at 5.84 yuan-5.95 yuan per liter. After the oil price increase is implemented, the 92# gasoline price in most regions will return to the '6 yuan era. '".

According to Li Yan, an analyst at Longzhong Information, in 2020, domestic refined oil prices will be adjusted, gasoline will be reduced by 1,295 yuan/ton, and diesel will be reduced by 1,250 yuan/ton.

This round is the first price adjustment in the new year. The next round of price adjustment window will be opened at 24:00 on January 29, 2021. The recent positive factors in the international crude oil market have the upper hand. It is expected that the probability of the next round of refined oil price adjustments will be higher.
