The Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro from Xiaomi showed what they can do in the “Computer Bild” mobile phone test: strong technology at a relatively low price.
Now the T-series is on the scene.
Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T Lite are newer and better - at least according to the data sheet.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite takes on the role of the affordable entry-level device within Xiaomi's Mi-10 series, although it also comes with 5G.
“Computer Bild” tested the smartphone.
Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite: display without OLED, but with a lot of Hertz
With a diagonal of 6.67 inches, the screen of the Mi 10T Lite measures just as much as that of the Mi 10 Lite, and the resolution is identical at 2340 x 1080 pixels.
The contrast is the Mi 10T Lite's Achilles heel at a meager 1263: 1.
Because instead of a high-contrast AMOLED display, there is only an LC display, which with 614 candelas per square meter should be a bit brighter.

The Mi 10T can display 120 images per second for this.
However, 120 Hertz are at the expense of the battery life.
The droplet notch disappears, Xiaomi picks a small hole in the top center of the display for the front camera.
Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite has a quad camera with 64 megapixels
As with the Mi 10 Lite, the front camera has a resolution of 16 megapixels and makes decent selfies.
The main camera shows more talent in poor lighting.
It uses a 64 megapixel (MP) sensor, the photos then resolve after the combination of four pixels with 16 MP.
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite convinced in the visual test even in low light and got a grade of 2.5.

In the test, the photos were convincing in both good and bad lighting.
The Mi 10T Lite can keep up with significantly more expensive smartphones when comparing mobile phone photos.
There is also an ultra-wide-angle camera with 8 MP and a viewing angle of 120 degrees, a macro camera with 2 MP and a depth sensor for bokeh effects, also with 2 MP.
Snapdragon, 5G, storage, Wi-Fi 5

A Snapdragon 750 processor, which supports 6 gigabytes (GB) of RAM, is responsible for the drive.
In terms of pure processor power, there is a clear gap to the fastest top smartphones and “only” an intermediate grade of 2.9, but the operating speed, which is more important in everyday life, is good (grade: 1.9).
For internal storage, you have the choice between 64 GB and 128 GB.
In both cases it is the standard Ultra Fast Speed 2.1 (UFS 2.1), which is slightly slower than the UFS 3.1 storage installed in current flagships.
The Mi 10T Lite is fast on the Internet: In the mobile network thanks to the 5G cellular standard, in the WLAN it supports Wi-Fi 6 (formerly called "WLAN ax").

Great endurance and fast charging
The built-in battery has a capacity of 4820 mAh.
In the “Computer Bild” cell phone battery test, it lasted 11:01 hours with intensive use and exceeded the limit for a 1.0 by a whole hour!
It can be quickly charged with 33 watts using the included power supply.
A full charge therefore took 66 minutes in the test.
Wireless charging is missing - an extra that is reserved for expensive smartphones, if you disregard the cheap Gigaset GS3.

The sales start was on October 23, 2020. The recommended retail price of the Mi 10T Lite is 279.90 euros for the variant with 64 GB of internal storage and 349.90 euros for the 128 GB version.
The colors available are Pearl Gray, Atlantic Blue and Rose Gold Beach.

Conclusion:
The Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite is actually a winner in its price class.
It has 5G, changes the image content at lightning speed and has an amazingly good camera.
In addition, it is relatively fast and the battery proved to be extremely long-lasting in the test.
The catch: the LC display is neither particularly bright nor rich in contrast.
