"Dubai Tourism" and "Dubai Residence" cooperate in issuing "permits" for specific groups

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai (Dubai Tourism) and the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (Dubai Residence) signed a partnership agreement aimed at supporting and enhancing their capabilities in technical projects and electronic connectivity to develop used systems and upgrade their services, as well as cooperation in the field of issuing residence permits for specific groups. Exchange of experiences

Dubai Tourism stated, in a statement yesterday, that the agreement also aims to enhance the exchange of experiences, experiences, studies, creative and innovative ideas, and field visits to contribute to advancing progress and development, in addition to building bridges of cooperation, communication and coordination between the two parties for what serves the public interest, in addition to learning about Activities, courses and proposals that would achieve mutual benefit, as well as coordination and participation in internal and external initiatives, events and conferences.

The partnership agreement was signed by the Director General of the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al-Marri, and the Director-General of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing in Dubai, Hilal Saeed Al-Marri.


Mohammed Al-Marri said: “We are working in (Establishing Dubai) to consolidate a culture of partnership, enhance cooperation between various government and private agencies in the UAE in general, and Dubai in particular, and exchange experiences in order to facilitate residence permits procedures for different groups.”

He added that «this agreement came as a continuation of the existing cooperation relations between (Establishing Dubai) and (Dubai Tourism), and their endeavor to support the role of the emirate as a regional and global center, and to consolidate its image as one of the most important tourism and investment destinations in the world, especially since Dubai has many tourist attractions and attractions. Which are being marketed to attract more investors, as well as visitors.

For his part, Hilal Al-Marri said, "This agreement contributes to supporting the initiatives and programs that were launched during the last period, to enhance Dubai's position as a preferred destination for visiting, residence and living there."

He added: “In the past period we have witnessed the launch of several initiatives, such as (retirement in Dubai), (virtual work), and other programs that will attract people wishing to reside and work in Dubai, and we seek through this agreement to simplify the procedures for obtaining permits. Accommodation for the target groups ».


The agreement will facilitate the procedures for issuing residency permits to investors, business leaders and retirees, and the requirements for those procedures in terms of evaluating applications and issuing approvals for special entry permits, for specific groups, as well as those nominated to obtain residence permits for investors.

Cooperation between the two parties in electronic services is also carried out by providing an electronic link or a user name with the required powers, for submitting requests to obtain residence permits service for the agreed upon program categories, while providing the ability to inquire about people’s data through the electronic link.

Marketing and training

Dubai Tourism and Dubai Residence will cooperate in marketing programs related to the agreement, as well as services related to issuing residence permits and visas for groups within the programs agreed upon at the local and global levels.

The agreement also took into account the opportunities to provide training to employees, through the possibility of their participation in the annual training programs for both parties, through prior coordination between them.

Cruise ships and yachts

The agreement between "Dubai Tourism" and "Dubai Residence" included coordination with regard to cruise ships and yachts, to allow the provision of clearance services for passengers and crew entry and exit procedures, in addition to organizing meetings to learn about the requirements and needs of cruise ship and yacht owners, in addition to participating in committees. Joint coordination and providing facilities and feasible ideas to enhance Dubai's status as an attractive tourist destination, in addition to joint coordination through specialized events and exhibitions to introduce the services provided by the General Administration of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai.

The partnership agreement includes promoting exchange of expertise, training and external marketing.
