Chinanews.com, January 11, according to the website of the National Bureau of Statistics, in December 2020, the national factory prices of industrial producers fell 0.4% year-on-year and rose 1.1% month-on-month; the purchase prices of industrial producers remained flat year-on-year and rose 1.5% month-on-month.

For the whole year of 2020, the ex-factory price of industrial producers will drop by 1.8% over the previous year, and the purchase price of industrial producers will drop by 2.3%.

Year-on-year changes in industrial producer prices

  Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production fell by 0.5%, which was 1.3 percentage points lower than the previous month, affecting the overall level of industrial producers' ex-factory prices by about 0.33 percentage points.

Among them, the prices of extractive industries fell by 0.4%, the prices of raw materials industries fell by 1.6%, and the prices of processing industries remained flat.

The price of means of subsistence fell by 0.4%, a 0.4% decrease from the previous month, which affected the overall level of factory prices for industrial producers to drop by about 0.11%.

Among them, food prices rose by 0.9%, clothing and durable consumer goods prices fell by 1.8%, and the prices of general daily necessities fell by 0.4%.

  Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires rose by 7.5%, the prices of ferrous metal materials rose by 6.1%; the prices of fuel and power fell by 6.6%, and the prices of chemical raw materials fell by 1.8%.

Changes in industrial producer prices month-on-month

  Among the ex-factory prices of industrial producers, the prices of means of production rose by 1.4%, an increase of 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, affecting the overall increase in the ex-factory prices of industrial producers by about 1.05 percentage points.

Among them, the price of mining and quarrying industry increased by 3.3%, the price of raw material industry increased by 2.6%, and the price of processing industry increased by 0.8%.

The price of means of subsistence rose by 0.1%, the same rate of increase as last month, affecting the overall increase in factory prices of industrial producers by about 0.04 percentage points.

Among them, the price of food rose by 0.5%, the price of clothing fell by 0.2%, the price of general daily necessities remained flat, and the price of durable consumer goods fell by 0.3%.

  Among the purchasing prices of industrial producers, the prices of non-ferrous metal materials and wires increased by 3.3%, the prices of ferrous metal materials increased by 2.6%, the prices of fuel and power increased by 2.2%, and the prices of chemical raw materials increased by 2.1%.
