The outbreak of the coronavirus has sped up the process of closing bank branches in Spain.

Only between the months of March and October of last year, the latest data available, a total of 833 offices were closed throughout the country.

The banks took advantage of the fact that many of their clients stopped going to the branches during the months of confinement to give the final blow to those they consider less profitable.
