Within the jurisdiction of Kyushu Electric Power, the demand for electricity used for heating etc. increased due to the influence of cold waves, and at 9 am on the 8th, the "usage rate", which indicates the ratio of demand to the supply capacity of electricity, reached 95%.
According to the company, demand will be highest at around 6 pm on the 8th, and electricity demand will exceed supply capacity and utilization will reach 100.8%.
For this reason, Kyushu Electric Power has requested other electric power companies to receive power interchange.
It is said that this will secure the 3% reserve capacity required for a stable supply of electricity.
