Rather funny story than that of this Ferrari Dino 196S seized in 2008 in the port of Genoa.
This exact replica rushed Ferrari to Italian courts as the brand felt aggrieved and demanded the outright destruction of the car.
After years of proceedings, Ferrari was dismissed under an article of Italian law which specifies that: "seized movable property may be entrusted by the judicial authority to the police if it so requests, property which may be used in policing activities.
These assets can also be entrusted to other state bodies or other public bodies ”.
Of which act: rather than being destroyed, this copy is so well made that it will join the Museum of Counterfeiting in order to train customs officers to detect the false from the true!
