Recently, the General Administration of Market Supervision issued a notice on its official website, stating that the General Administration of Market Supervision has certified the fields of organic products (organic vegetables, edible fungi, wine, tea, fruits, grains, dairy products, edible vegetable oil, infant 320 batches of products involved in 25 certification agencies of infant formula food (9 categories of products) have implemented certification effectiveness spot checks, and the coverage rate of certification agencies is 28.7%.

The random inspection found that 18 batches of sampled products (involving 8 certification bodies) did not meet the certification requirements, and the overall non-conformity rate was 5.63%.

  The General Administration of Market Supervision stated that it has notified the relevant certification bodies of relevant information, and the relevant certification bodies have taken serious measures to revoke 24 organic product certification certificates for certified products that do not meet the certification requirements in accordance with relevant regulations.

For related products that are found to be seriously inconsistent (using prohibited substances in violation of regulations, etc.) and whose certification certificate (see attachment for details) has been revoked through random inspections, the certification body shall not accept the certification of organic products from the enterprise, its production base, and processing site within 5 years.

  The notice pointed out that the above-mentioned certification bodies involved in non-conforming items should immediately carry out risk investigation, strengthen and improve certification risk prevention and control measures, strictly control the quality of certification, and report the relevant investigation results and prevention and control measures to the State Administration for Market Regulation.

For related products that are found to be seriously inconsistent with the revoked organic product certification certificate due to random inspections, relevant units and consumers are requested to pay attention to and prevent risks.
