On the side of La Redoute, 2020 ended in the best possible way.

Despite a year marked by the coronavirus epidemic and the establishment of two lockdowns, the distance selling company was able to do well like other e-commerce players.

"Sales in December were exceptional," says Nathalie Balla, thanks in particular to the delay of Black Friday.

More broadly, continues the president of La Redoute, "we had a very good end of the year". 

"We sold a lot of toys"

Even the month of November, marked by a second confinement, was good for La Redoute.

"For us, the month of November was not at all impacted in the same way" as physical commerce, indicates Nathalie Balla, because people stuck at their homes "have turned much more to e-commerce" .

And the results of the end-of-year celebrations are therefore more than satisfactory.

On the site, she specifies, customers have flocked to ready-to-wear, household products and household appliances, "with bread machines, sewing machines, etc." ...

Customers, Nathalie Balla analyzes, are coming back "to more essential things, in the sense that we are trying to improve family life".

Moreover, La Redoute also sold "a lot of children's toys".
