At that time there were still relatively few electric cars on Europe's roads.

That has changed in the meantime: from January to November more than 150,000 pure e-cars were added in Germany alone, and if you add the hybrid vehicles, almost 600,000 new electric vehicles have been registered.

It is therefore unlikely that electric cars are not increasingly involved in accidents and are damaged in the process. But the disposal problem is still unsolved - salvaging an electric car that has crashed brings with it risks that are difficult to calculate.
