The first phase of the Yangtze River Estuary South Passage project was completed for trial operation, and a high-quality auxiliary channel with a length of 86 kilometers and a depth of 6 meters was added to the Yangtze River Estuary.
The maintenance scale of the four river sections including the Fujiangsha Middle Waterway has been improved. The electronic waterway map of the Yangtze River realizes the interconnection with the Han and Ganjiang Rivers. The maintenance water depth of the Yangtze River main channel has a 100% compliance rate and a navigation mark normal rate 100%.

The average tonnage of cargo ships on the Yangtze River trunk line increased from 1880 tons to 1960 tons. Among them, the average tonnage of ships passing the Three Gorges locks reached 4680 tons. The shipping structure of the Yangtze River has been continuously optimized.
