Tuzov also noted that Russia has good technologies and experts in the field of banking information exchange.

“Back in 2014, Russia developed an alternative to SWIFT - a financial messaging system (FMS).

All leading Russian banks and companies, as well as foreign banks belonging to the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) are connected to it, ”he said.

At the same time, Tuzov stressed that if Russia is suddenly disconnected from SWIFT tomorrow, for example, there will be panic currency fluctuations.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the United States was considering the idea of ​​disconnecting Russia from the SWIFT bank payment system.

He stressed that Russia should also be "maximally prepared" for such decisions related to the Internet by the United States.

In December, Medvedev called the real threat of disconnecting Russia from the global network.

On November 1, 2019, a law on ensuring the stable operation of the Russian segment of the Internet in the event of its disconnection from the global network came into force in Russia.
