The Dutch daily AD has just revealed a rather worrying new trend in the Netherlands: between November 20 and December 4, 21 thefts of Tesla Model 3 charging cables were observed, just around Amsterdam.

These were stolen while cars were connected to terminals overnight.

This is rather unfortunate because this equipment is billed at around 150 €.

The thieves' modus operandi is very simple: when the Tesla Model 3 no longer charges or the outside temperature is close to freezing, the car simply unlocks its cable!

Unfortunately, malicious people quickly understood this and are rampant in several cities in the Netherlands.

According to the police, the only way to protect yourself is to wedge the charging cable under a wheel of the car ...
