The announcement stated that producers and other operators engaged in online sales of consumer goods should consciously abide by relevant laws and regulations, operate in compliance with the law, provide consumer goods that meet the requirements for protecting personal and property safety, and must not sell or provide consumer goods that are prohibited by laws and administrative regulations. .
The announcement mentioned that producers and other operators should establish and improve systems for collecting, verifying, analyzing and processing defects in consumer goods sold online.
If it is discovered that its online sales of consumer products have caused or may cause death, serious personal injury, major property damage, or implementation of recalls abroad, it should report to the local provincial market supervision department in accordance with the requirements of the "Interim Provisions on the Administration of Consumer Product Recalls."
The announcement requires that if defects in online consumer goods are found, the producer shall immediately stop the production, sale, and import of defective consumer goods, notify other operators to stop operations, and implement the recall immediately in accordance with the requirements of the "Interim Provisions on the Administration of Consumer Goods Recalls, without concealing the defects; When other operators receive the notification from the producer, they shall immediately stop operating the defective consumer products and assist the producer in implementing the recall.
Consumer products that fail to eliminate defects shall not be resold.
The announcement clarified that e-commerce platform operators should take a variety of measures to implement dynamic monitoring, and establish effective procedures to prevent defective consumer products from continuing to be sold online for the information on defective consumer products that the market supervision department has disclosed.
