Korean Air announced today (23rd) that it will suspend flights departing from London Heathrow Airport and arriving at Incheon International Airport until the 31st of this month as the COVID-19 variant spreads in the UK.

From today, flights that were scheduled to depart from London to Incheon will be suspended, but flights from Incheon to London operate three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday).

Korean Air was initially scheduled to operate a round-trip route from Incheon to London on the 23rd, 25th, 28th, and 30th of this month, but during this period, only one-way flights from Incheon to London are planned.

Asiana Airlines will stop operating the round-trip route between Incheon and London, which operated once a week every Friday, until this month.

On the 25th of this month, both flights departing from Incheon to London and flights departing from London to Incheon will be suspended.

Earlier, the government said, "To block the influx of the mutant virus found in the UK, we made a response plan through a meeting of related ministries yesterday afternoon."
