Truck maker Hino Motors announced that it will stop producing trucks at its two plants in the United States and Canada until September next year.

It is said that the engine shipped from Japan did not meet the standards of the US regulatory authority.

For this reason, Hino Motors plans to sell trucks equipped with a new engine.

However, sales in the United States and Canada accounted for about one-tenth of total domestic and international sales last year, which could impact performance.
