Details of the first shipment of the "Covid-19" vaccine, which arrived in Dubai yesterday

Emirates SkyCargo has transported the first shipment of "Covid-19" vaccines produced by "Pfizer-BioNTech" to the UAE for the benefit of the Dubai Health Authority.

Here are the details of the transfer of the first shipment of "Covid-19" vaccines ...

 1- The vaccines were transported from Brussels on the Emirates flight EK 182, which landed at 11:15 last night (Tuesday, December 22) at Dubai International Airport.

2- Upon arrival at Dubai International Airport, the shipment was unloaded and transported urgently, to "Sky Pharma", the Emirates Air Cargo Building designated for handling medicines and vaccines, to be cleared and delivered.

3- Emirates SkyCargo has developed a GDP-certified infrastructure to store and handle drug shipments in Dubai.

4- The carrier has also launched a "drug corridors" program, where it cooperates with ground handling companies and local airports in major drug manufacturing and production centers around the world to protect shipments while in transit.

The program now covers more than 30 cities, including Brussels.

5- "Emirates Air Cargo" has established in Dubai the largest air facility in the world to store and distribute "Covid-19" vaccines.

The capacity of this facility is estimated at 10 million bottles of vaccine at one time.

6- The company confirmed that it has started distributing "Covid-19" vaccines from a number of international manufacturers.
