The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Center for the Development of Islamic Economy, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, said that “Dubai - which is a pioneering capital of the Islamic economy - has a very great opportunity to make positive changes during the next year, as the world begins to emerge from the effects of the epidemic.”

The center announced that during its last board meeting in 2020, it approved its work plan for the next year, pointing out that the initiatives for 2021 aim to consolidate the attractiveness of the economic environment in Dubai and the UAE, in a way that enhances the role of the global Islamic economy in general, especially in light of the current circumstances in which the world is living. And confirms Dubai's position as the capital of the Islamic economy.

In detail, the Dubai Center for the Development of Islamic Economy confirmed that it is working on designing a new package of initiatives for the year 2021, within the framework of exploring promising future opportunities for the post-Covid-19 pandemic, and in continuation of the successes achieved by the initiatives it launched during the year 2020.

The Chairman of the Center’s Board of Directors, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, said, “The Islamic economy has become a fundamental pillar of the Emirati economy, and this proves the forward-looking vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, especially in light of the circumstances that arose. He added: “The successes of the Islamic economy initiatives have proven that it is a powerful engine for the national economy, and Dubai - which is considered the leading capital of the Islamic economy in the world - has a very great opportunity to make positive changes during the next year, with the world emerging from the effects of the epidemic, and the need for its countries to build. The attractive and safe economic and investment provided by Dubai, of course, as we all have a responsibility to take advantage of this climate, in a way that enhances the state’s vision and provides an attractive environment for capital in the world.

Al-Mansoori affirmed that “the Dubai Center for the Development of Islamic Economy will continue its programs and initiatives, and looks forward to 2021 being a successful year in the level of Islamic economy,” praising the fact that the UAE continues to issue major indicators for the Islamic economy globally, due to the efforts made by the center and its strategic partners.
