Reporter Kim Hye-min is here.

Reporter Kim, when the government announced special quarantine measures for the year-end and New Year holidays yesterday (22nd), there were many places where you could not go?

<Reporter>

Yes, a lot of people have worked hard this year with Corona 19.

Still, it is regrettable for those who made a big decision to go on a trip during the year-end and New Year holidays, but I think you will have to cancel all of them.

Today, we'll give you some tips to keep in mind when refunding a reservation for a prohibited facility.

First of all, let me explain what facilities you need to get a refund for. Ski resorts, snow sledding rinks, and skating rinks were open until 9pm.

It will not operate at all from tomorrow.

There are also some famous spots that I go to do on January 1st every year.

It is located in Namsan Park in Seoul and Jeongdongjin, but it is said that a police line is also installed in order to prevent tourists from approaching in case of tourists crowding here.

In addition, accommodations such as hotels, resorts and guest houses can only receive half of the guest rooms.

If it exceeds half, the rest will not be able to stay at all, and if these quarantine rules are violated, fines will be imposed on operators and users.

those facilities that have already been booked but have been closed like this, would there be a standard for getting a refund?

<Reporter>

Unfortunately, it is not.

As the situation of Corona 19 is urgent, the quarantine countermeasures came out suddenly.

Neither the government nor the facility has yet established a refund standard.

Fortunately, the Fair Commission established a penalty reduction or exemption rule last month. If you look at this rule, you can get a full refund for the entire amount in Step 3, but the same steps 2 and 2.5 are different.

You do not have to pay the penalty when you postpone the date in this way, but if you cancel the reservation at all, you will have to pay half the penalty fee.

So now, getting a refund is a bit trickier than step 3.

Still, it seems that the situation is a bit special this time, but there are several places where the door is closed like this even though it is not in the third stage.

What do these places do?

<Reporter>

Yes, I can't go to a ski resort or a sledding site at all, even though I'm in the 2nd or 2.5th step as it is now.

It is said that there are already many inquiries about refunds at these facilities. In particular, there are many customers who have bought season tickets or package tickets, and refunds are a problem.

When I looked at the existing refund rules of the ski resorts, most of them had to pay a penalty of 10% of the total amount, and the remaining days were calculated at a daily rate and refunded.

I told you that it will cut the same level 2 or 2.5 penalty fee by half from the standards created by the FTC.

The ski resort also reflects this, and it seems likely that the penalty will be eliminated or reduced altogether, and a refund will be given as long as the ski resort is unavailable.

Also, hotels and resorts did not allow the accommodation rate to exceed 50%, but there are many people wondering from which reservation will be canceled and whether the one I booked will be cancelled?

<Reporter>

Yes, there are many people who have made a reservation for a long time in advance.

Besides, because it is the end of the year, there are many places with more than half the reservations.

There is no definite standard for how to cancel the reservations of these places, and what kind of customers should cancel the reservation first.

However, it would be wise to cancel in advance, thinking that I will preemptively prevent the spread of Corona 19, rather than waiting for hotel reservations to not be canceled like this.

<Anchor> If you want

to cancel in advance, cancel it, and if not, it might be a first come, first served basis.

If it exceeds 50% like this, if the reservation was canceled or cancelled, then can I get a full refund of course?

<Reporter> Even so,

reporters inquired about this in the script yesterday.

In the script, it was said that refunds will be made according to the FTC's penalty reduction criteria, as I mentioned earlier.

According to this criterion, now only half of the penalty is charged.

It's not because customers want to cancel this way, but this is a bit hard to understand in common sense.

I asked some hotels how they would like to get a refund, but they say they are trying to cancel without penalty.

In summary, in accordance with the government's quarantine guidelines, it seems that sports facilities, accommodations, and penalties that require cancellation of reservations will be refunded with little or no penalty. I wonder what it would have been like if you provided it.
