Etihad Airways is updating travel procedures for departures from the UK

Following the announcement of the Emergency Crisis and Disaster Authority, and starting from 24 September 2020, Etihad Airways will require its passengers from the United Kingdom to present a medical certificate containing a negative PCR test result for Covid-19 within 72 hours of the flight departure time.

Etihad Airways is the only airline in the world that requires 100% of all its passengers to present a negative test result for Coronavirus before travel and upon arrival in Abu Dhabi, to ensure peace of mind for all who are on board.

The examination is required to take place in a government approved medical facility.

A list of proposed facilities is available at etihad.com

Since most PCR Covid-19 test results do not show the date and time of the examination, guests must prove this during the check-in procedures, such as showing the details of the appointment confirmation.

Children under the age of 12 years and people with moderate to severe disabilities are exempt from conducting a BCR Covid-19 examination, and

the Etihad Health and Safety Program is an extension of the airline's sterilization and safety program, which ensures the highest levels of hygiene at every point of contact throughout the flight of its guests.

This includes the Etihad Health and Safety Ambassadors team, which is the first of its kind in the aviation sector and includes specially trained personnel to provide essential health care and information so that guests can travel with peace of mind on every flight.
