Olympus, a precision equipment manufacturer, announced that it is recruiting voluntary retirement programs for about 950 domestic employees, including full-time employees who are 40 years old or older and have been working for more than 3 years.
Olympus has announced a plan to sell its video business such as digital cameras and concentrate its management resources on the medical business centered on endoscopes, and says that recruitment for retirement is part of the business restructuring.
