China National Energy Administration: Take multiple measures to cope with the tight power supply in parts of the South

  China News Service, Beijing, December 17 In response to the recent tight power supply situation in Hunan, Jiangxi and other places, the National Energy Administration of China said on the 17th that it will take four measures to ensure power supply.

  The first is to urge power grid companies to optimize operation methods, strengthen the operation and maintenance management of power transmission and transformation equipment, tap the power transmission potential of inter-provincial and inter-regional tie lines, give full play to the role of large power grid platforms, and improve inter-provincial resource allocation capabilities.

  The second is to urge power generation companies to assign the responsibility of ensuring supply to people, strengthen the operation and maintenance of units, ensure stable generation and supply of units, and avoid power gaps caused by temporary shutdown of important equipment.

  The third is to deploy the safe and stable supply of coal, and ensure a stable supply of coal this winter and next spring.

  The fourth is to urge all regional power authorities to implement emergency plans, prepare for cold, rain, snow and freezing disasters, guide power companies to prepare for emergency repairs, and minimize the impact of natural disasters on the operation of the power system.

At the same time, closely follow the power supply and demand situation, consolidate the main responsibilities of local governments, and coordinate all localities and relevant departments to ensure power supply.
