Fitness center operators who are unable to open the door due to Corona had their hair cut short in front of the National Assembly today (16th).

They insisted that the door be kept open until 9pm for a minimal living.

Statistics also confirm that the more the distance level goes up, the more damage to self-employed people increases.

Reporter Jeon Hyeong-woo analyzed the card sales of self-employed people last week, which changed to step 2.5.

I analyzed the credit card sales of small business owners.

Last week, when social distancing in the metropolitan area was upgraded to 2.5 steps, sales of small business owners in Seoul fell by 62% of the same period last year, so sales decreased by nearly 40%.

The sales decline was greater than during the first outbreak in Daegu and Gyeongbuk in March and the second in August.

The next places where sales of small businesses decreased a lot were Ulsan, Busan, and Gyeonggi-do. As you can see, it was only 70% of last year.

Ulsan itself has been upgraded to the second stage since last week, and the stage upgrade in Busan was in effect, so the social distancing stage can be seen as having an immediate impact on sales.

Last week, the business that hit the biggest sales hit was impossible to open at all, and sports and leisure related businesses such as gyms.

It was only half of the previous year.

Restaurants, such as restaurants and cafés, recovered to 80% of last year's sales in October and November, when social distancing was eased, and then plummeted back to half last week.
