Formerly owned by Google, then the Softbank group, Boston Dynamics has just been acquired by the Hyundai group for the colossal amount of € 760 million.
Founded in 1992, this company specializing in the creation of robots is best known to the general public for its dog “Spot”, capable of performing many tasks like a real animal.
This takeover is part of the manufacturer's policy of investing in robotics technology, investments which should amount to $ 1.4 billion by 2025. This acquisition follows the takeovers of Realtime Robotics and 42dot.
