Donald Trump announced this Thursday evening on his Twitter account: Morocco is committed to normalizing its relations with Israel.
The country follows three other Arab countries: the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.
If, for the Israelis, this is a “historic” breakthrough in the words of Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, on the contrary, for the Palestinians, it is another “dark” day.

And while Morocco has taken a fairly consistent stance on the Palestinian issue by saying it is against Israeli colonization in the West Bank, and for the two-state solution, for the Palestinians, this is yet another betrayal.
Even more so as the King of Morocco chairs the Al Qoods committee - Jerusalem in Arabic - to preserve the religious heritage of the holy city.
But this is not entirely a surprise, specify Palestinian analysts because Morocco has displayed ambivalent positions, sparing the United States for several months.
