2020 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Exchange Expo achieves 1.867 billion yuan in intellectual property transactions

  Xinhua News Agency, Guangzhou, November 21st (Reporter Hu Linguo) The reporter learned from the 2020 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intellectual Property Exchange Organizing Committee on the 21st that this exhibition achieved 1.867 billion intellectual property transactions, of which the total amount of patent and trademark transactions was 17.23 Billion yuan, an increase of 15.97% over last year. The amount of copyright transactions reached 144 million yuan, involving 2,323 copyrights.

  It is understood that this exhibition has set new records in terms of exhibition scale, internationalization degree and transaction scale.

The number of online exhibitors reached 2,469, which was more than 8 times the size of the exhibitors of the previous offline China Fair. There were 175 overseas exhibitors, displaying 17,000 pieces of intellectual property exhibits.

  Market participants believe that this shows that in the process of implementing innovation-driven development strategies, intellectual property transactions characterized by innovation results are stimulating strong vitality.

  The relevant person in charge of the organizing committee of this exhibition said that next, the exhibition platform will be transferred to a year-round operation mode, open to registration for global innovation entities, intellectual property service organizations, high-tech parks and other institutions with intellectual property operation needs.   This exhibition was jointly organized by the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration (Intellectual Property Office), the Guangzhou Municipal People's Government, the Intellectual Property Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government Economic Bureau.
