According to the government's decision, many economic activities will be closed in 150 cities across the country for two weeks.

Likewise, travel between provinces is prohibited as well as traffic between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. in the red cities.

But for Sahar, a student in her twenties, these measures are not necessarily effective.

“

I don't think it's of much use because people don't follow containment protocols and the government itself doesn't enforce restriction measures.

We need much higher fines.

 "

Lelya, an employee in her 50s, shares the same opinion.

“

Frankly, people are not following the instructions.

Travel continues without restriction.

Ditto for travel tours, restaurants are open, people do not follow instructions.

"

Health ministry officials have warned that the death toll could double if people continue to disregard instructions.

It remains to be seen whether the government will apply the new restrictions more harshly.
